The Evolution of Mobile Networks from 1G to 5G

Today 4G network is available and 5G is knocking.  On the first, its biggest credit goes to Heinrich Hertz. In 1864, the transcript of the microwave was discovered by James Clerk Maxwell. The first time James Clerk Maxwell Microwaves predicted the use of his equations in 1864. On this theory, in 1888, Heinrich Hertz explored and proved microwave radiation (electronics Wave). Later on the base of electronics wave- radio, TV and mobile was invented.

But initially the mobile technology was not so powerful before. Almost every 10 years the mobile network has changed. Further, we have expanded the journey from 1G to 5G, so that you can understand mobile telephony.

1G Network

In the mobile network, G is the generation and 1G mobile telephony is the first generation. It was a technology based on Analog signal and its capacity was very low. First of all, 1G technology was used in 1979. In the Japan Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Company, also known as NTT, was the first to launch and this technique became quite popular in the 1980s. In 1983 it was launched in the US. Although the Motorola company's Martin Cooper invented the mobile phone in 1973, the use of 1G phones started in the 1980s. The 1G technology was specially for voice, with the speed of up to 2.4 kbps.

2G Network

For the first time, the 2G network of mobile was developed in 1991. There was a lot of changed it. 1G, where it was an analog network, the digital signal was used in 2G. However two types of technology were used for 2G. Where is Finland GSM-based mobile technology started, while CDMA was used in the US. Through 2G Signal, mobile now compatible with send text messages, picture messages and multimedia messages. 2G was better than 1G in  battery consumption. Data could also be used in the 2G service, but it was too low. The maximum speed of download and upload was up to 64 kbps. However, there were several improvements later, 2.5G and 2.7G invented and its maximum speed was 256 Kbps.

3G network

Although every country was using every 2G mobile service accordingly, there was no standard set. That was the beginning of 3G networks after the year 2000. For this ITU (International Telecommunication Union) made standard by name IMT 2000. Although the Japanese company NTT DOCOMO launched the pre-commercial merchandise service, but in the year 2001 it was officially launched. 3G network was available for both DATA and CALL. The speed of data in this was between 384 kbps and 2 mbps. Video calls were available in 3G as well as voice calls. There were features like file transfer, internet, online TV, video conferencing, 3D gaming and email send-receipts. Compared to 2G technology, the importance of 3G technology was that it was more secure. There were several developments in 3G technology. HSDPA, HSPA, HHPA + and HHSPA Turbo 3G are standard only. Its maximum data is up to 42 Mbps.

4G Network

Today 4G is dominated by the whole world. Although its story is also weird. 4G technology started in 2007, but at the time it was tested on the WiMAX network. ITU did not prepare it. At the same time, in 2008, ITU announced IMT Advance technology for 4G which was a GSM-based 4G technology. Since then it has seen development in it. In this also NTT Docomo had previously tested the 4G network, but according to the information, 4G was officially started by a Finnish company. Even though in India, some operators including BSNL had tested the WiMax technology but this did not come and the first Airtel started the 4G LTE from Kolkata. There are two techniques in this too. Airtel launched the 4G FDD technology. Later Vodafone and Idea also introduced it, but the entire market changed from September 5, 2016. Reliance Jio launched 4G's TDD service in India and the company provided it to 4G VoLTE. After this, there was a boom of 4G in India. 3G has coverage of more than 4G networks.

In the 4G too many improvements have been made so far and its capacity has been increased. Its data capability is defined by Cat. If a phone has CAT3 support, then it is capable of transmitting data at speeds up to 100 Mbps. Similarly, if CAT is 4.5, 150 MBps, CAT is 6. Then 300 MBps, CAT is 9.94 then 450Mbps and CAT11 will be able to transfer the data to the speed of up to 600 Mbps on the 4G network. The maximum speed of 4G is 600 Mbps.

5G Network

Although it was said that India is far behind in technology if compare with other countries. Here is a delay of around 15 years. In the 3G service, we were around 10 years behind. European countries started launching 3G service in 2001, but in India it came after 2011. Although 4G has reduced the gap of delay to a great extent, soon came to the country. We were around 3 to 4 years late. At 5G there may not be such a possibility. Recently, 3GPP has set standards of towers and smartphones with logos for 5G networks around the globe. The name of IMT 2020 for the 5G standard has been given. Good thing can be said that almost all the major companies in the world have shown curiosity for 5G and have given the confidence to launch the 5G network by 2019. That means it can be announced only after 13 months from today. It is worth noting that 3GPP is the institution which sets standards for mobile service spread globally.

The advantage of deciding the 5G service standard is that now the world's operators will be able to work on this network and radio engineers. After the standardization of the ultrafast 5G network by the 3GPP organization, now the phone maker and radio equipment maker will be able to launch their 5G product. The best thing can be said that India is already ready for the 5G this time. Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of RelianceInstream, announced that Reliance Jio Network 5G Ready too. At the same time, the company has also tied up with Samsung for its development. At the same time Airtel is not far behind. The company has partnered with Nokia to expand the 5G service and IOT apps. By the way, NTT DOCOMO started the moment for 5G in 2014.

Where maximum speed for 4G is up to 600 Mbps while 5G speed is considered to start from 1 GBps. In such a situation, you can think of yourself as to how it will be. The movie will be loaded in just a few seconds and live video without buffer will run. Multiplayer gaming and health services will also see the change However, there was one thing special in determining the standard for 5G by 3GPP, that the emphasis was on low battery consumption. It is said that it will be less than the power consumption 4G in it.
